UMBRELLA FROCK

MATERIALS REQUIRED:

-          Printed cotton fabric 

MEASUREMENTS:

1.Full length

2.Chest round

3.Waist round

4.Across shoulder

5.Waist length

METHOD FRONT PART:

1.      O-A = shoulder to waist length

2.      O-B = 1/2 “ of across shoulder

3.      O-C = 1/4^th of chest

4.      OC= BG

5.      O-I=1/12^TH of chest + 1”

6.      O-G2 = 1/12^th of chest + 1/2” front neck depth

7.      C-E = 1/4^th of chest +1”

8.       AH = 1/4^th waist + 1/2”

LOWER PART:

1.OE=OD =OG is 1/6^th of the waist

2.BD=EA=GC is the length of the skirt as required

3.E-G-D is to be joined with a curve

SLEEVE:

1.Draw a line EB = CD in the sleeve length

2.Draw a line from point E to C is 1/4^th chest + 1”

3. O-E = 1/12^th of chest +1”

4.E-A = 1” [neck depth]

5.C-C2 = 1/4^th of chest -1”

6. B-B2 = 1/4^th of chest + 0.5"

CONSTRUCTION:

1.      Cut the front body on the fold

2.      Cut the lower skirt on the fold

3.      The back body will be cut twice for a center back opening

4.      Finish the seam with French seam

5.      Finish the hem line and sleeve hem with blind hem

6.      Finish the neck line with shaped facing.
